The Road to 1 Billion Bottles

Maurice Lacroix is definitely one of #tide's most committed partners: The Swiss watch brand named its iconic collection after us – and the success of the AIKON #tide proves them right. A strong and consistent sustainable message leads to a great response and success. Maurice Lacroix not only uses our material for their watches and their sustainable packaging, they also commit to our Road to 1 Billion Bottles and contribute to the collection and sorting of 10 Million bottles in the Andaman Sea. Thanks to their support, we're able to build warehouses, maintain longtail boats and pay the fishermen fair money for catching plastic.

Mahindra Racing is an Indian Motorsports team competing in the Formula E and operating out of Bransbury, UK. "The greenest Team in Motorsport" is constantly challenging itself to become more sustainable. As part of their "Turning the Tide"-campaign they contributed to the collection of one million bottles. Their contribution was accompanied by a targeted social media campaign to create awareness about plastic pollution in the oceans. Fans could join the effort by voting for Mahindra Racing in the Formula E Fanboost. For every vote, Mahindra would take an additional 10 bottles out of the ocean.

Being #tide's exclusive logistics partner, DSV handles the transports of the collected plastic from all over the world to the upcycling facilities. Those transports #tide is offsetting completely with Myclimate.org, by the way. But that's not enough: DSV Air+Sea Switzerland supports #tide's efforts too, by contributing to the collection of 1 million bottles per year. Thus DSV takes an important step towards cleaning our oceans and restoring the ecosystem in the coastal regions of Southeast Asia. By supporting #tide's initiative, DSV Air + Sea Switzerland is acting in line with DSV's global commitment to promote sustainable, environmentally friendly and green solutions.

NUDIENT is a fashion tech brand creating products designed to disrupt the accessory industry. Established in Stockholm in 2016, their products are worn by people all over the world. NUDIENT is also a company that cares about the future of our oceans. That’s why they have joined us on our journey to saving 1 billion bottles from polluting the ocean by 2025. For each product sold, one bottle will be collected by us, at #tide. Through this collaboration NUDIENT aims to prevent 1 million bottles from polluting the oceans.

4-Oceans is a Swiss a sailing company that offers a broad range of nautical services, from training to ocean cruises and yacht charters. "Sailing is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to travel,” says 4-Oceans’ owner, Simi Zueger. “All we need is the wind." The company deeply cares about the protection of marine ecosystems. Nevertheless 4-Oceans is aware that sailing vacations also cause emissions. "For this reason we want to enable our customers to travel sustainably and compensate their footprint by supporting #tide. Together, we contribute to the collection of 1 million plastic bottles.”

Dr. Sacha Ryf

Dr. Sacha Ryf is an orthodontic dentist who runs the leading orthodontic practice in Biel/Bienne and in the Seeland in Switzerland. Every day, he and his team show their commitment to sustainability and the protection of natural resources. “We collect paper, aluminum and plastic/PET waste, as long as it is hygienic, and return it for recycling. In addition, our customers can return the plastic packaging of our dental products.” To protect the oceans, Dr. Sacha Ryf and his team support #tide’s “Road to 1 Billion Bottles.” “We are very pleased to support the vision of Tide Ocean, which shares the same innovative spirit and values as we do.”
