Certifications & Compliance

#tide ocean material plastic collection

Independent verification. Reliable documentation.

When you source recycled plastic, you need more than a material specification. You need reliable information about where the material comes from, how it was produced and which standards it meets — backed by documentation you can use.

At #tide®, independent certification, supply-chain controls, material testing and customer documentation are integral parts of our approach. They help our customers verify recycled content and material origin, assess quality and support their own compliance and due-diligence requirements.

The exact certifications and documentation available depend on the material grade, production site, supply chain and intended application.

Independent certifications & standards

Third-party verification across our supply chains

We work with internationally recognized certification schemes and independent auditing bodies to provide external verification where it matters.

Responsible sourcing and social safeguards

Responsible sourcing goes beyond the material itself. #tide® applies due-diligence processes and supplier requirements designed to promote responsible practices and uphold social and human-rights standards throughout our supply chains.

This includes our Business Partner Code of Conduct, human-rights due diligence, requirements for working conditions and responsible collection, and ongoing engagement with our supply-chain partners.

Where additional verification or documentation is required, we work with our partners and customers to support supply-chain assessments and due-diligence processes.

Material compliance

Depending on the material grade and intended application, #tide® materials are tested and documented against relevant regulatory and product requirements.

For applicable materials, we can provide documentation covering:

  • REACH

  • RoHS

  • food-contact compliance

The applicable declarations and supporting documentation are available to customers depending on the material grade and intended application.

Documentation you can rely on

From material compliance to shipment-level evidence

Regulatory requirements do not stop with a certificate or test result. Customers increasingly need reliable documentation throughout the supply chain to demonstrate recycled content, material characteristics, origin and other relevant information.

Our documentation process is designed to provide this evidence in a structured and consistent way. Our documents help customers understand and document the origin, composition, quality and compliance status of the recycled material they source.

Supporting your regulatory requirements

Robust documentation for an evolving regulatory landscape

Not every regulatory requirement can be covered by a single material certificate or declaration. In many cases, compliance depends on the finished product, its application and the responsibilities of the company placing it on the market.

This is where our documentation process becomes particularly important.

#tide® provides customers with relevant material, supply-chain, recycled-content and traceability information that can support their own assessments and documentation under applicable regulatory frameworks.

PPWR-ready documentation

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) introduces new requirements for packaging, including recyclability, recycled content and the documentation needed along the value chain.

For customers using #tide® recycled plastics in packaging applications, we provide material and supply-chain information designed to support their PPWR documentation and compliance processes.

Our Supplier Declaration provides relevant information about #tide® recycled material, while additional material- and delivery-specific documentation is available where applicable.

Due diligence & responsible supply chains

Compliance goes beyond the material

Reliable recycled-material sourcing also requires an understanding of the people and organizations behind the supply chain.

#tide® therefore combines material traceability with supplier governance and human-rights due diligence.

Our approach includes among other things:

  • supplier onboarding and due diligence

  • our Business Partner Code of Conduct

  • ongoing dialogue and monitoring with supply-chain partners

  • support for customer questionnaires and due-diligence requests

The objective is not simply to collect documentation, but to continuously improve our supply chains.

Environmental performance backed by data

Measurable impact instead of assumptions

Using recycled plastic can reduce environmental impacts compared with virgin material — but environmental claims should be supported by evidence.

The environmental performance of #tide® recycled materials has therefore been assessed through an independent Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

Our LCA and supporting environmental data provide customers with a transparent basis for understanding the environmental performance of #tide® recycled plastics and for assessing relevant environmental claims.
